*20th Century Studios has released a new trailer for the highly anticipated sequel “The Devil Wears Prada 2,” along with character posters and promotional stills. Nearly two decades after the original, Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci return to the streets of New York City and the stylish offices of Runway Magazine, reprising their iconic roles in a story set to continue the saga that captured audiences in 2006.
The first film, directed by David Frankel and based on Lauren Weisberger’s 2003 novel, follows aspiring journalist Andy Sachs (Hathaway) as she navigates the high-pressure world of fashion under the exacting editor Miranda Priestly (Streep). The 2006 release was a critical and commercial success, grossing over $326 million worldwide, and helped define a generation of filmgoers with its mix of comedy, drama, and fashion-forward storytelling.
Returning behind the camera are director David Frankel and screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna, ensuring continuity with the original’s tone and style. The sequel also expands the world of Runway with a new ensemble including Kenneth Branagh, Simone Ashley, Justin Theroux, Lucy Liu, Patrick Brammall, Caleb Hearon, Helen J. Shen, Pauline Chalamet, B.J. Novak, and Conrad Ricamora. Tracie Thoms and Tibor Feldman reprise their roles as Lily and Irv, connecting the story to the first film.

Wendy Finerman returns as producer, with Michael Bederman, Karen Rosenfelt, and Aline Brosh McKenna serving as executive producers. The new trailer offers glimpses of the familiar high-fashion drama, witty exchanges, and larger-than-life personalities that made the original so memorable.
“The Devil Wears Prada 2” is set to premiere exclusively in theaters on May 1, 2026, promising to deliver a fresh yet familiar journey into the cutthroat, glamorous world of fashion. Watch the trailer above.
