*Universal Pictures has unveiled the official trailer for the upcoming event film “Disclosure Day,” created and directed by Steven Spielberg.
The preview poses a haunting question: “If you found out we weren’t alone, if someone showed you, proved it to you, would that frighten you?” The story promises to explore how the world reacts when humanity learns the truth, a revelation meant for all seven billion people on the planet.
The film brings together an impressive cast including SAG winner and Oscar® nominee Emily Blunt, known for “Oppenheimer” and “A Quiet Place,” along with Emmy and Golden Globe winner Josh O’Connor of “Challengers” and “The Crown.” Oscar winner Colin Firth, recognized for “The King’s Speech” and the “Kingsman” series, joins the ensemble, alongside Eve Hewson from “Bad Sisters” and “The Perfect Couple,” and two-time Oscar® nominee Colman Domingo of “Sing Sing” and “Rustin.”
Based on an original story by Spielberg, the screenplay is written by David Koepp, who has worked with Spielberg on blockbuster films including “Jurassic Park,” “The Lost World: Jurassic Park,” “War of the Worlds,” and “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.” Those projects have grossed more than $3 billion globally, and Koepp also scripted this year’s “Jurassic World Rebirth.”

The film is produced by five-time Academy Award nominee Kristie Macosko Krieger, known for “The Fabelmans” and “West Side Story,” with Spielberg producing through Amblin Entertainment. Executive producers Adam Somner and Chris Brigham are also attached, supporting a cinematic event designed for a worldwide audience.
The new trailer emphasizes the film’s global stakes and emotional tension, inviting viewers to imagine how they would respond if the truth about life beyond Earth were revealed. “Disclosure Day” positions itself as a summer blockbuster that blends spectacle, suspense, and humanity’s search for answers.
