*DC fans finally get a glimpse of one of 2026’s most anticipated films with the release of the first official trailer and key art for “Supergirl.”
The upcoming feature promises to bring scale, spectacle, and heart to the big screen, highlighting the strength and resilience of one of DC’s most iconic heroes. The film hits theaters and IMAX across North America on June 26, 2026, with an international release starting June 24.
“Supergirl,” produced by DC Studios heads Peter Safran and James Gunn, is directed by Craig Gillespie from a screenplay by Ana Nogueira. Milly Alcock stars in the dual role of Kara Zor-El/Supergirl, leading a cast that includes Matthias Schoenaerts, Eve Ridley, David Krumholtz, Emily Beecham, and Jason Momoa. The film draws on the characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, with executive producers Nigel Gostelow, Chantal Nong Vo, and Lars P. Winther overseeing the project.

Behind the camera, Gillespie collaborates with a team of industry veterans. Director of photography Rob Hardy, production designer Neil Lamont, editor Tatiana S. Riegel, and costume designer Anna B. Sheppard all contribute to the film’s visual style. Visual effects supervisor Geoffrey Baumann and composer Ramin Djawadi round out the creative team, ensuring that both action sequences and musical moments deliver on cinematic expectations.
Warner Bros. Pictures will distribute the film worldwide. DC Studios presents “Supergirl” as a Troll Court Entertainment and The Safran Company production.
