*STARZ has officially announced its acquisition of exclusive U.S. rights to the upcoming drama series “The Nowhere Man,” alongside the debut of the show’s first trailer. The six-episode thriller is set to premiere on January 16, 2026, with new episodes streaming weekly on Fridays across the STARZ app and all STARZ on-demand platforms.
The series stars Bonko Khoza and Naturi Naughton-Lewis and centers on Lukas, a former Special Forces mercenary struggling to rebuild his life. Haunted by post-traumatic stress disorder, Lukas survives on the margins of Johannesburg as a junk collector, deliberately distancing himself from his violent past. His attempt at anonymity collapses after he witnesses a home invasion and intervenes, pulling him back into a dangerous world he tried to leave behind, per the news release.
As the story unfolds, Lukas is forced to confront unresolved trauma and secrets tied to his former life. The series blends psychological tension with action-driven storytelling, framing survival as both a physical and emotional battle.

STARZ executives emphasized the project’s significance within the network’s expanding slate of action originals. “We’re thrilled to be reunited with Naturi, an extraordinary talent viewers know and love,” said Alison Hoffman, President of STARZ Networks. “‘The Nowhere Man’ is a powerful addition to our action lineup, and with our audience eager for the next high-octane thrill ride, this show delivers.”
Naughton-Lewis also highlighted the personal importance of the series. “‘The Nowhere Man’ represents an exciting evolution for me as both an actress and executive producer, and I’m thrilled to have my company, Take Two Entertainment, as part of this incredible team. It’s especially meaningful to be reunited with my STARZ family to tell a bold, action-packed, globally relevant story. I can’t wait for audiences to dive in headfirst,” she said.

“The Nowhere Man” was filmed on location in South Africa and created by Motion Story, with Gareth Crocker serving as showrunner and director alongside Fred Wolmarans. Produced by Phillip Wolmarans and Nick Keulemans, the project also lists Chris Lawrance, Colleen Lawrance, Sean Mik’ael Butler, Naturi Naughton-Lewis, and Two Lewis among its executive producers.
