*Olivia Dean continues her breakout run on U.S. radio as her single “Man I Need” climbs to No. 1 on the Adult R&B Airplay chart, moving up from No. 5 to the top position on the April 11 rankings published by Billboard.
The ranking is based on Luminate data showing the song received the highest airplay across U.S. adult R&B stations during the March 27–April 2 tracking week. The rise pushes Tank’s “Control” out of the top position to No. 3, where it lands after two weeks at No. 1. For “Man I Need,” the chart shift is the latest in a string of multi-format gains on Billboard’s radio charts.
The single now holds three separate No. 1 placements across radio formats, having previously topped both the Pop Airplay and Adult Pop Airplay charts earlier this year. That crossover reach puts it in rare company; matching the multi-format achievement Teddy Swims accomplished with “Lose Control” and, among female artists, echoing Adele’s historic run with “Hello.”
Beyond radio airplay formats, “Man I Need” also maintains strong performance on broader charts. It reached No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and has remained in the top 10 for 20 weeks and counting, highlighting its sustained streaming and audience reach. The track also earned Dean a Grammy Award for Best New Artist earlier this year.
On additional radio rankings, the song edges up on the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart, moving from No. 20 to No. 19, while holding steady at No. 8 on Adult Contemporary. It also remains firmly placed at No. 2 on the all-genre Radio Songs chart, continuing a long-running presence near the top after previously spending three weeks at No. 1 in February.
