*During a recent broadcast, Michael Strahan experienced a Halloween fright that left him jumping out of his seat.
As EW reports, the former NFL player was caught off guard when a masked figure suddenly appeared behind him in a prank that prompted Strahan to recoil in shock. He blurted out, “What’s wrong with you, man?” before realizing it was a joke and breaking into laughter.
Cohost Jay Glazer couldn’t stop laughing either, joking, “That’s how you get someone hurt out here!” After the broadcast, cohost Charissa Thompson shared the clip online with the caption, “Sorry Stray! Thanks for being a good sport.” Strahan seemed to take the prank in stride, even reposting the footage himself. Watch the moment via the clip below.

This isn’t the first time Strahan has been on the receiving end of an unexpected on-air moment. Earlier this month, Talk Sport reported that Former New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman learned the hard way that his talents did not extend to kicking. During a Fox NFL demonstration, Edelman’s field goal attempt misfired directly into Strahan’s face.
The segment featured the entire Fox NFL team — Strahan, Edelman, Rob Gronkowski, Jay Glazer, Terry Bradshaw, Howie Long, and Curt Menefee. Edelman, who attempted the kick without socks, sent the ball spinning straight into Strahan. The hit left Strahan momentarily staggered, and Glazer quipped that he needed to enter “concussion protocol.” Strahan laughed it off, admitting that the ball hit him “in the eyeball.”
