*Emmy Award-winning producer and writer Kenya Barris (“Black-ish”) is joining forces with Offscript Worldwide, the parent company behind REVOLT, in a move that signals a major expansion of the media company’s creator-focused ambitions.
Barris has been named Vice Chair of REVOLT Labs, a newly launched initiative designed to help creators build enterprise-scale media businesses from the ground up, per the news release.
REVOLT Labs was created with a specific mission in mind — giving creators the infrastructure, guidance, and resources to transform original ideas into lasting intellectual property across television, film, digital, live experiences, and beyond. The initiative places a premium on ownership and distribution, pushing creators to think beyond social platforms and toward building sustainable empires.
In his new capacity as Vice Chair, Barris will help steer the creative and strategic direction of REVOLT Labs, working directly with talent to develop premium projects positioned for major distributors.

“REVOLT already had the foundation,” Barris said. “My role is to help build the bridge from where creators start to where their ideas can ultimately go. I’m excited to work with these creators to help further build their platforms and businesses into thriving, sustainable empires.”
Detavio Samuels, CEO of REVOLT and Offscript Worldwide, framed the partnership as a natural extension of the company’s broader philosophy. “Offscript was built to partner with creators as business builders, not just talent,” Samuels said.
