*The legendary Howard Hewett, one of the most celebrated and soulful voices in R&B, recently celebrated his 70th birthday with a private, star-studded gathering filled with love, laughter, and music from friends, family, and fellow icons in entertainment.
Among those in attendance were Stephen Grant Hill, former Executive Vice President at Black Entertainment Television (BET), legendary bassist and composer Stanley Clarke, and Howard’s children Christopher, Anissa, Rainey, and Kiva Hewett, all there to honor the man whose voice and artistry have touched millions around the world.
The evening also featured surprise video shoutouts from some of the biggest names in entertainment, including Snoop Dogg, Earvin “Magic” Johnson, Yolanda Adams, Ruben Studdard, Luenell, Chante Moore, Vanessa Bell Calloway, Dawnn Lewis, Karyn White, Ann Nesby, Shirley Murdock, Kathleen Bradley, Kenny Lattimore, Carolyn Griffey, and Jeffrey Daniel of Shalamar, among many others.
