*Sean “Diddy” Combs has been cautioned about potential dangers at his preferred prison by a former reality TV personality. The music mogul had asked the court to place him at FCI Fort Dix, citing the facility’s rehabilitative programs and favorable conditions.
Combs’ attorneys previously sent a letter requesting that Judge Arun Subramanian allow him to serve his 50-month sentence at the New Jersey low-security prison, emphasizing its substance abuse treatment, educational programs, and family visitation opportunities. NBC News reported that lawyer Teny Geragos asked the judge to consider Fort Dix “to address drug abuse issues and to maximize family visitation and rehabilitative efforts.”
Following his May 2025 conviction on two counts of transporting former girlfriends for prostitution, Combs was sentenced on October 3 to four years and two months in prison. He was acquitted of related racketeering and sex trafficking charges. While the court can recommend a facility, the final decision ultimately rests with the Bureau of Prisons.

Former “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Joe Giudice, who served time at Fort Dix for fraud and conspiracy, shared his experience with Fox News Digital. He confirmed that family visits were frequent, reflecting a point highlighted by Combs’ attorneys. “Family visits – basically, you come out to meet up in one big room and everybody’s there, and your family comes. I had family coming every weekend, you know what I mean, friends, family every weekend,” Giudice said.
However, Giudice also warned about violence at the facility, recalling a disturbing incident he witnessed. “They just like stabbed each other as they’re walking across the track,” he said. “It’s like you’ve barely even seen anything, but you know, they just like stabbed each other for whatever reason, you know, whatever it was.”
Diddy’s chance of being assigned to Fort Dix remains uncertain. Judge Subramanian promised to recommend that Combs “be incarcerated as close as possible to the New York metropolitan area.”
