*Nathalie Emmanuel faces a terrifying fight for survival in the upcoming horror thriller “Confinement,” which will debut on digital platforms Sept. 1.
Directed by Peter Howitt and produced by Steven Paul, the British thriller centers on Stella, a pregnant woman whose search for stability after a devastating loss leads her into an increasingly dangerous situation.
After Stella’s husband dies, she accepts an invitation to stay with his estranged family. What begins as an act of compassion soon takes a sinister turn as their fixation on her unborn child intensifies, forcing Stella to question the family’s true intentions.
The film’s official synopsis describes a woman who is “pregnant and recently widowed” before being welcomed into her late husband’s family. Beneath their apparent generosity, however, lies “something deeply unsettling,” leaving Stella fighting for her life as the family’s obsession with her unborn baby becomes increasingly deadly.

Emmanuel, best known to many viewers for portraying Missandei on HBO’s “Game of Thrones,” leads the cast alongside Claire Forlani. Missandei became a fan favorite during the fantasy series, where her relationship with Grey Worm, played by Jacob Anderson, developed into one of the show’s most memorable romances.
Will Honley and April Maguire wrote the screenplay, while Scott Karol and Conor O’Farrell serve as executive producers.
Blending psychological suspense with supernatural horror, “Confinement” follows Stella as she attempts to uncover the truth before she and her unborn child become victims of the family’s disturbing plans.
