*The family of Bryan Bostic, who died in Inglewood (CA) Police custody on March 10th, will stand alongside community leaders to demand immediate action from Inglewood city officials. They are calling on Mayor James T. Butts Jr. and the Inglewood City Council to urgently approve body cameras for all Inglewood Police officers.
In addition, the Bostic family is demanding that California Attorney General Rob Bonta launch an independent investigation into the circumstances surrounding Bryan Bostic’s death. The family has made it clear—they do not trust the Inglewood Police Department to investigate itself without bias or accountability.
Outrage continues to grow as Inglewood Police Chief Mark Fronterotta has yet to make a single public statement regarding the incident, further fueling community anger and distrust.
Mayor Butts only issued a public comment Sunday evening—and that came after mounting pressure from ongoing protests led by the Bostic family, Yolanda Davidson Carter, and Najee Ali, Director of Project Islamic Hope.
Demonstrators gathered at the site of the deadly traffic stop and marched to City Hall, joined by dozens of supporters demanding transparency, justice, and accountability.
Nationally renowned Attorney Ben Crump has agreed to represent the Bostic family.
The family and community leaders say this is just the beginning—and they will not stop until there is justice for Bryan Bostic.
