*The family of Bryan Bostic, who died on Tuesday, March 10, while in the custody of the Inglewood (CA) Police Department following a traffic stop, is calling for justice.
With the support of a coalition of civil rights leaders, the family is calling for California Attorney General Rob Bonta to immediately launch an independent investigation into the circumstances surrounding Bostic’s death.

A press release sent to EURweb.com from activist Najee Ali’s Project Islamic Hope states:
Eyewitnesses have come forward publicly, stating that they observed Bostic being physically beaten by Inglewood Police officers during the encounter.
The family has also publicly accused the Inglewood Police Department of killing their loved one.
What is especially alarming is that, as of now, neither Inglewood Police Chief Mark Fronterotta nor Inglewood Mayor James T. Butts has issued any public statement regarding Bostic’s death.
“This is both disturbing and deeply troubling. The family and the community deserve immediate answers from elected officials when someone dies following a physical confrontation with law enforcement.
There are multiple eyewitnesses who have come forward and stated that Bryan Bostic was physically assaulted by Inglewood Police officers.
“For the Police Chief and the Mayor to remain completely silent is not just a disservice to the family and concerned residents — it is a complete failure of leadership,” said Najee Ali, Director of Project Islamic Hope.”
