*Brandy Norwood and her daughter Sy’Rai Smith are set to star in the heartfelt Lifetime holiday movie “Christmas Everyday”.
Marking Smith’s acting debut, the film anchors Lifetime’s “It’s a Wonderful Lifetime” slate, with more titles to be revealed soon. Norwood also serves as an executive producer on the festive project, Deadline reports.
In the movie, Norwood plays Francine “Fancy” Ballantine, a driven fashion designer balancing career demands and family responsibilities. After losing her father, Fancy strives to preserve his treasured Christmas traditions while supporting her mother, Evelyn (Debbi Morgan), who is losing her vision. The plot thickens as Fancy plans her sister Belle’s (Smith) wedding, only for a burst water pipe to derail the celebration.
Amid the chaos, Fancy crosses paths with Jaylen (Robert C. Riley), a charismatic contractor tasked with fixing her home. Their unexpected connection teaches Fancy about faith, family, and the essence of Christmas. The film also features Norwood’s 2023 holiday song, “Christmas Everyday,” adding a personal touch.
“The holidays are always about family as part of the festivities, so I’m beyond thrilled to be partnering with Lifetime on this magical holiday project and having my own daughter star with me – even though we are playing sisters!” Norwood shared. “It’s a Wonderful Lifetime has become such a beloved tradition, and I’m honored to star and executive produce.”

Directed by Roger Bobb, “Christmas Everyday” is based on a script by Meg DeLoatch and Cameron Ross. Executive producers alongside Norwood include Stella Bulochnikov, Dr. Holly Carter, Ryan Ramsey, and Fox Entertainment Studios’ Fernando Szew, Hannah Pillemer, Larry Grimaldi, and Adam Shepard. Fox Entertainment Global will handle international distribution.
This mother-daughter collaboration promises a blend of warmth, humor, and holiday spirit, making “Christmas Everyday” a must-watch for Lifetime’s holiday lineup.
