*The Hollywood Walk of Fame was a little brighter today (03-30-26) as R&B icon Brandy Norwood was honored with the 2,839th star. The ceremony solidified the “Vocal Bible’s” legacy in the Recording category at 6201 Hollywood Boulevard, directly in front of Arrive Hollywood / Eastown.
Fans, family, and peers gathered under the California sun to witness the long-overdue recognition of a career that has spanned over three decades. The event, emceed by Sibley Scoles, was a celebration of Brandy’s massive contributions to music, television, and culture.
A Ceremony of Legends: Issa Rae and Babyface Pay Tribute
The ceremony featured powerful tributes from two artists who represent different facets of Brandy’s influence. Actress and writer Issa Rae took the podium to speak on Brandy’s monumental impact on television and representation.
“Brandy was and is the blueprint,” Rae declared to the crowd. “Without Moesha, there’s no Insecure. There’s no me as a writer.
