*Matt Barnes may have thought he was retired from the NBA, but his fiancée Anansa Sims is out here reminding him that the real games never stop. And this time, the scoreboard isn’t looking too good for the former baller.
Late Thursday night, Sims took to Instagram to air out what sounds like a season-ending scandal for her engagement. In a since-deleted post, she accused Barnes of doing a little too much off-the-court networking. How much, you ask? According to Anansa, her fiancé allegedly entertained eight different women in January alone. Yes, eight! That’s more substitutions than an overtime game.

Accompanying her cryptic post was a meme that read, “I once loved a man so much that I was fixing him while he was breaking me.” Oof.
She also threw in a broken-heart emoji, as if her words weren’t already loud enough. But the real bombshell was in her caption:
“Why Matt?? 8 different women in January.”

Well, the algorithm might’ve let that disappear from her feed, but the internet never forgets. While Barnes was busy ignoring the accusations on his own IG, Anansa wasn’t done yet. She slid into her Stories to share a video of Oprah (because when things go south, who better to quote than Oprah?) warning folks about hurting others. Sims simply captioned it, “Exactly.”
But then, she went for the jugular. If Matt Barnes thought this was just another “he-said, she-said,” he clearly underestimated the power of a scorned woman with WiFi.
Receipts, Roster, and Regrets
By Friday, Anansa doubled down on her claims—and this time, she named names. The list of alleged women included reality TV personality Masika Kalysha and Porsche Thomas.
Anansa didn’t hold back, claiming Masika had been messing with Barnes since last summer and even joined him on a little Denver getaway from January 18-19.

Masika, however, wasn’t about to take the blame for this drama and quickly denied any involvement.
“I am absolutely in no way having an affair of any sort with Matt,” Masika told The Shade Room, probably wishing she hadn’t been summoned into this mess in the first place.
Porsche Thomas was also on the list, but she wasn’t having it either. She took to social media and made it clear that she had not been in communication with Barnes for over a year, saying:
“Leave me outta this group chat.”
Whew. The other six women haven’t responded yet, possibly because they’re either dodging notifications or waiting for their lawyers to tell them what to do.

“Y’all Can Have Him” – The Parting Shot
If you thought this was just a moment of venting, Anansa made it crystal clear where she stands. At the bottom of her now-deleted post, she wrote, “Y’all can have him.”
Welp. That certainly doesn’t sound like a woman who’s still holding on to wedding plans.
A Rocky Romance, Now on Reality TV?
If this entire scandal is giving you déjà vu, it’s because Anansa and Matt’s relationship has been a rollercoaster since 2018. After years of on-and-off dating, an engagement in 2022, and two kids together (including their newest addition, baby Austin, in October), things seemed stable—until now.
And let’s not forget, this couple has a We TV reality show on the way. The Barnes Bunch is supposed to showcase their blended family, co-parenting dynamic, and life with their seven kids. Well, unless the producers scramble to re-edit, we might be seeing some very awkward footage when that show airs.
Now, what makes all of this even wilder is that Sims previously filed a restraining order against Barnes in 2020. They made peace in 2021, got engaged in 2022, and now, just two years later, she’s publicly putting his alleged dirty laundry out for everyone to see.

What’s Next?
Right now, Barnes hasn’t responded to the cheating allegations. He’s been active on social media—but not about this.
Instead of clarifying or defending himself, he’s letting the internet do what it does best: speculate, meme, and side-eye.
The real question is, will Anansa drop even more receipts? Because if there’s one thing we know, it’s that a woman who publicly names names probably has the screenshots to back it up.
As for Matt Barnes, well, he’s either staying silent because he’s innocent, or he’s scrambling to figure out how to spin this.
Either way, it’s safe to say that his January stats are looking really messy.
