*More than three years after Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss passed away, tensions over his children erupted into a formal legal battle between his widow, Allison Holker, and his mother, Connie Boss Alexander. According to The Blast, the dispute centered on grandparent visitation rights, following disagreements about access and communication with the children.
Connie filed a Petition for Grandparent Visitation in California in September 2025, claiming that Holker had blocked her from seeing the grandchildren. She described the restrictions as “unilateral and retaliatory” and wrote, “Unfortunately, shortly following my son’s passing, [Allison] refused to allow me or any other members of our family to communicate with or see the Minor Children. My hope is that this Court can grant me limited grandparent visitation in a way that neither infringes on [Allison’s] autonomy or disrupts their life.”
Holker disputed those claims, saying she had consistently encouraged interaction between Connie and the children and that opportunities had been declined. In a text to Connie, she said, “I have never hindered you from seeing the kids… Despite the continual public narrative to the contrary, the door has always been open to you anytime you want to visit … I think it’s also important to acknowledge that we’ve received no phone calls, FaceTimes, text messages, emails or any sort of invitation for the kids and me to see you in Arizona, which we are also happy to consider.”

Connie responded, emphasizing that Holker’s move to Utah created tension. She wrote, “It was disappointing to receive a letter from your attorney stating that you’ve moved on, and to learn of your relocation without any type of communication.”
The family’s move to Alpine, Utah were highlighted by Connie in court filings. Holker clarified the family relocated in June after the school year ended.
On February 11, a California judge dismissed the case, ruling that the state lacked jurisdiction. It remains uncertain whether Connie will pursue legal action in Arizona, where she resides, or Utah.
