*Phaedra Parks is reclaiming her spot on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.”
The busy mother of two is making a full-time return to the series for season 16. Her comeback follows the announcement that Kenya Moore is leaving the show. The former Miss USA was let go after allegedly leaking explicit photos of new cast member Brittany Eady.
Parks announced her return on Instagram on Monday, July 29, with a photoshoot of her holding a peach. “You called, I answered,” she captioned the post.
Parks joined RHOA in season 3 and left the show after season 9. She returned to the franchise for the “Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip Ex-Wives Club,” which is streaming on Peacock.
We reported earlier that Porsha Williams and Drew Sidora are returning to “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” for season 16. According to PEOPLE, author/podcast host Brittany Eady, restaurateur and Food Network alum Kelli Ferrell, and Angela Oakley, wife of NBA great Charles Oakley, are also part of the cast next season.
Shamea Morton Mwangi has been promoted to full-time Housewife. Supermodel Cynthia Bailey, a cast member from seasons 3-13, will return as a “friend.”
Sheree Whitfield, who held a full-time position in Seasons 1-4, 9-10, and 14-15, Kandi Burruss, Marlo Hampton, and Sanya Richards-Ross are exiting the show. Burruss is leaving after 14 consecutive years on the hit Bravo series.
Moore, meanwhile, is adamant that she’s “here to stay.”
She took to Instagram Live recently to reassure her fans that she isn’t going anywhere amid rumors of her exit from RHOA.
According to The Jasmine Brand, Moore stated, “We’re definitely going to stay positive. There’s so many positive things happening. I can’t ever speak on things until they’re coming out.”
She continued, “Trust me, there will be so much more of me. I’m not going anywhere; I’m here to stay.”
