*Tonya Lewis Taylor is back with a new single called “I am More Than A Conqueror,” The singer/songwriter is taking it back to the choir sound with this up-tempo feel-good track. The song, written and produced by Taylor will be featured on her upcoming EP of the same name: “I Am More Than A Conqueror, due out later this year on EARS MUSIC Group.
Taylor said: “I went through a season in my life where I just wanted to give up. I was tired of working so hard, in the church, at home, at work. I felt unappreciated and devalued. Many of the people in my life were just taking and no one saw that I was in need. I had a lot of emotional issues going on inside my mind. I wrote this song 20 years ago for my college choir and one day, in the midst of this emotional rollercoaster, this song came back to me. I sang this song in my head for a year until I said “I have to record this song, someone needs to hear this. This song was my reminder not to give up. I had to tell myself I Am More Than A Conqueror.”

Tonya is not only a singer/songwriter, with two top 25 Billboard singles under her belt “I’m a Winner” (Billboard top #25) and “Thank you,” (Billboard top #15) but an award-winning philanthropist.
She is the co-founder of Entertainers 4 Education Alliance- I WILL GRADUATE PROGRAM, a New York-based youth development agency that utilizes music and entertainment to help inspire and empower youth. Some of the celebrity influencers partnered with the organization include Omar Epps, Coldplay, Alicia Keys, Kanye West, Shad “Bow Wow” Moss, Daymon John, Mary Mary and Tyrese Gibson.
Named as one of New York City’s Great People by New York’s Daily News, a Street Soldier by MSNBC and, Columbia News Person of the Week, Tonya is making a difference in the lives of students across New York City.
