*Disney has officially released the trailer and poster for “Zootopia 2,” the long-awaited sequel to its Academy Award-winning animated blockbuster. The film is scheduled to open in theaters on November 26 and marks the return of Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde in a brand-new adventure.
According to the synopsis, this time, Judy (voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin) and Nick (voiced by Jason Bateman) are forced to reevaluate their partnership when Chief Bogo (Idris Elba) enrolls them in a mandatory counseling program called Partners in Crisis. But their therapeutic detour is cut short when a venomous snake appears in Zootopia, sparking a mysterious new case that quickly spirals into their toughest investigation yet.
“Zootopia 2” introduces several new characters to the franchise, including Gary De’Snake, voiced by Oscar winner Ke Huy Quan; Nibbles, played by Fortune Feimster; and Dr. Fuzzby, a quokka therapist brought to life by Quinta Brunson. Director and writer Jared Bush, who also co-wrote the first film, said, “It’s been an absolute joy to reteam with so many actors who made the first film so special, and so exciting to expand the world with our phenomenal new cast members.”
Returning voices include Shakira as Gazelle, Bonnie Hunt as Bonnie Hopps, Don Lake as Stu Hopps, Nate Torrence as Clawhauser, Jenny Slate as Bellwether, Alan Tudyk as Duke Weaselton, Maurice LaMarche as Mr. Big, and Tommy Chong as Yax. Leah Latham, Josh Dallas, Mark Rhino Smith, and Raymond Persi also reprise their roles.

The original “Zootopia” premiered in 2016, earning over $1 billion globally and winning the Oscar for Best Animated Feature. It introduced audiences to the unlikely duo of a rabbit rookie cop and a sly fox hustler navigating a city where predators and prey live side by side. The sequel promises new laughs, twists, and heart, continuing the story that became a worldwide phenomenon.
“Zootopia 2” opens just in time for the holiday season, with more surprises teased ahead of its theatrical debut. Watch the trailer above.
