*Apple TV+ has released the official trailer for “Snoopy Presents: A Summer Musical,” marking the first Peanuts musical special in over three decades. The animated event premieres globally on Friday, August 15, and features a new slate of original songs that highlight the joyful spirit of summer and the enduring legacy of the Peanuts gang, per the news release.
The special includes music by Emmy-nominated artist Ben Folds, along with Jeff Morrow and Broadway composers Alan Zachary and Michael Weiner. Folds contributed tracks like “When We Were Light,” “Look Up, Charlie Brown,” and “Leave It Better,” while Morrow, Zachary, and Weiner collaborated on “Best Time Ever” and “A Place Like This.”
In this heartwarming adventure, Charlie Brown is determined to make the most of his final year at summer camp, while his sister Sally, attending for the first time, remains uncertain about her surroundings. Meanwhile, Snoopy and Woodstock stumble upon a mysterious treasure map, leading them on an unexpected quest.
The Peanuts gang soon learns their beloved camp faces closure due to declining attendance. Saddened by the news, Charlie Brown and his friends rally together, inspired by Snoopy and Woodstock’s discovery—an old treasure chest containing instruments and photos from past camp concerts. Their solution: host a concert of their own in hopes of saving the camp.

Directed by Erik Wiese and written by Craig Schulz, Bryan Schulz, and Cornelius Uliano, “Snoopy Presents: A Summer Musical” is produced by Peanuts and WildBrain exclusively for Apple TV+. The production team includes executive producers C. Schulz, B. Schulz, Uliano, Paige Braddock, Josh Scherba, Stephanie Betts, and Logan McPherson.
This year marks the 75th anniversary of Peanuts, and Apple TV+ remains the exclusive streaming home for all Peanuts content, continuing its expanded partnership with WildBrain, Peanuts Worldwide, and Lee Mendelson Film Productions.
The new musical joins a growing lineup of family-friendly programming on Apple TV+, including “Camp Snoopy,” “Frog and Toad,” “WondLa,” “Yo Gabba GabbaLand!,” “Goldie,” “The Velveteen Rabbit,” and many more award-winning series and specials.
