*Zendaya is having a good laugh at the internet’s expense. The 29-year-old actress stopped by “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on Monday, March 16, to address swirling speculation that she and fiancé Tom Holland had quietly gotten married.
The gossip first gained traction after Zendaya’s longtime stylist Law Roach made comments at the 2026 Actor Awards on March 1 that led many to believe the couple had already wed. According to PEOPLE, Roach told reporters, “The wedding has already happened,” and when asked for confirmation, he added, “It’s very true!”
Word spread fast, and by the time Zendaya joined host Jimmy Kimmel on his show, the marriage chatter had become impossible to ignore. Kimmel wasted no time diving in. He told the actress that fans had gone as far as generating AI wedding photos of her and Holland — images convincing enough that many fans accepted them as genuine. Zendaya confirmed the photos had caused real confusion.
“I was out and about in real life and people are like, ‘Oh my god, your wedding photos are really gorgeous.’ And I was like, ‘Babe they’re AI.’ They’re not real,’ ” she said. When Kimmel asked if anyone close to her had been fooled, Zendaya replied, “Yes, many people.”
The appearance came one day after Zendaya was photographed at the 2026 Academy Awards wearing her engagement ring alongside what appeared to be a gold wedding band, adding fresh fuel to the ongoing speculation.
Coincidentally, or perhaps not, Zendaya is set to appear on screen in a wedding-themed story this spring. She stars alongside Robert Pattinson in A24’s upcoming romantic drama “The Drama,” in which the two play engaged couple Emma Harwood and Charlie Thompson. The film follows the pair as unsettling revelations threaten to upend everything in the days leading up to their wedding.
“The Drama” opens in theaters nationwide on April 3.
