Last month, Tom’s father, Dominic Holland, confirmed his son’s engagement to Zendaya. In a Patreon post on January 10, he shared his thoughts on the couple while keeping most wedding details private. However, he did reveal that Tom put a lot of thought into the proposal and didn’t make the decision lightly.
“Tom, as you know by now, was very incredibly well prepared,” Dominic wrote. “He had purchased a ring. He had spoken with her father and gained permission to propose to his daughter. Tom had everything planned out… When, where, how, what to say, what to wear.”
We reported earlier… Zendaya made headlines at the 2025 Golden Globes for sparking engagement rumors after wearing a large ring on her finger. During the awards show, the “Euphoria” star was seen flashing her engagement ring, which caught the attention of social media. TikTok creator Liz Duff shared clips of Zendaya appearing to show the ring to others, including “The Bear” star Ayo Edebiri, PEOPLE reports.
Zendaya and Holland, who have starred in three “Spider-Man” films together, will continue their on-screen partnership in 2025, working on a fourth “Spider-Man” movie and Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey.” Both films are set for release in 2026.
“I am completely confident they will make a successful union,” Dominic wrote.
Meanwhile, an insider told PEOPLE that the couple has no plans to rush down the aisle.
“They will just enjoy things for now and won’t rush a wedding,” the insider said. “They are both busy with work projects.”
