Morohunfola brings a quiet intensity to the role. His performance doesn’t rely on grand gestures or heavy monologues. Instead, it’s in the small moments. It’s the kind of performance that makes you reflect on the silent battles men fight daily. I spoke with Tosin about his character’s vulnerability. Here’s what he had to say.
“I thought he was an enigma; he had so many shells and so many walls up. I think a lot of men can relate to sometimes you need to have a guard up because the world is hard out there, or people don’t hold space for your feelings. It’s kind of a beautiful journey for him to come to a place where he realizes he can let some of that down,” said Tosin Morohunfola
What makes Finding Joy special is that this film doesn’t romanticize Ridge’s pain; he humanizes it. He shows that healing and love aren’t separate journeys; they often happen side by side.
