*Tekashi 6ix9ine’s Florida residence was the target of a violent home invasion on Sunday night, during which four armed intruders reportedly held his 60-year-old mother at gunpoint.
Authorities said the masked men entered the property with handguns, searching for cash and car keys while keeping the rapper’s mother outside under duress. Police ultimately arrived at the scene and searched with a K-9 unit, but the suspects had already fled.
The rapper, whose legal name is Daniel Hernandez, was not present during the break-in. He was livestreaming with YouTuber Jack Doherty at the time. “We were livestreaming with [Hernandez] and in the middle of it, apparently he got robbed, so now there’s like a bunch of cops at his house,” Doherty said in a video clip.

The same day Tekashi 6ix9ine’s home was invaded, the rapper made headlines for a provocative claim during a podcast appearance with N3on and Adin Ross. When asked by N3on to name the most famous woman he had ever slept with, 6ix9ine responded by questioning, “Can I get sued for defamation if I lie?” prompting Adin to urge him to “just tell the truth.”
After being encouraged to frame it as a dream, 6ix9ine named Ayesha Curry, wife of NBA star Steph Curry. As SandraRose.com reports, the mention sparked immediate reactions online, with some warning the rapper to tread carefully because Steph Curry has “shooters.”
In the wake of the burglary involving his mother, social media users drew connections between the two events. One person posted, “Steph Curry sent the ‘shooters’.” Another added, “Damn that was fast Steph.”
