*Sterling K. Brown had viewers and host Jennifer Hudson laughing this week with a surprisingly candid revelation about his bedtime routine.
On “The Jennifer Hudson Show,” the “Paradise” actor admitted that he sometimes indulges in “a little quality time with Sterling” before hitting the pillow, explaining that it helps him unwind, Page Six reports.
Brown said he’s entering a “candid phase” as he approaches 50, joking about his wife being a night owl who often stays up later than he does. “I see many brothers who understand what I’m saying, and it’s in the spirit of transparency,” he added, acknowledging the humorous side of the moment.

Hudson was briefly left speechless by Brown’s cheeky bedroom confession. She broke the silence with a playful question about whether his “shoes are on or off” during this routine, to which Brown replied, “I take my shoes off.”
Brown also reminisced about a lighter moment earlier this year, joking about flubbing a skit with “Abbott Elementary” star Janelle James at the 2026 SAG Actor Awards. The pair took the stage together to present an award, with James launching into a comedic bit where she acted out a dramatic scene to showcase her range beyond comedy.
“I gave you 11 years of my life, and you left me for a white woman?” she exclaimed during the exaggerated scene. Brown, meanwhile, tripped over his line while trying to respond, saying, “Would it be better if she was white … I mean, if she was black?”
After the slip-up, he leaned into the moment, pretending to exit the stage before poking fun at himself. “Fun fact, even though I ruined that joke, I actually can be funny!” he said.
