*Stephen A. Smith revealed that he has a special woman in his life during an appearance on The Howard Stern Show with his First Take co-host, Chris “Mad Dog” Russo.
Although he usually keeps his personal life private, Smith acknowledged his relationship but chose not to disclose her name.
“There is,” Smith, 57, said when Stern asked if he has a “special lady” in his life.
“You’ve got to remember something, guys — I cover sports, that’s true,” Smith added. “But the industry has evolved to the point where — and I’m not bragging, I’m just speaking fact — I’m more popular than 95 percent of most of the athletes I cover,” he continued.
“So as a result of that, you’re in the news constantly. So, you’ll know who that person is when she’s Mrs. Stephen A. Smith.”

Elsewhere in the conversation, Smith opened up about his feelings regarding Skip Bayless’s exit from ESPN. While he didn’t comment on Bayless’s recent lawsuit, Smith expressed frustration with how Bayless left the network in 2016, especially considering the lucrative offer from FS1 that led to his departure.
“Skip Bayless left for Fox, but he just left for Fox because they throw him a boatload of more money,” Smith said, via Awful Announcing. “I was (expletive) at how it was handled because I had found out at a later date. He didn’t come to me initially and say this is what’s going on. I found out on my own.
“But I understood why and no disrespect to him, but at the time, I was (expletive), initially, until I found out some of the nuances that was going on behind the scenes, and he couldn’t say anything.”
