*Disney+ has unveiled a thrilling new trailer and poster for the highly anticipated second season of “Andor.”
The Emmy-nominated “Star Wars” prequel returns on April 22, promising an action-packed and emotionally charged conclusion to Cassian Andor’s journey.
A Darker, More Intense Chapter
Season 2 of “Andor” picks up as war looms ever closer, with Cassian (Diego Luna) becoming a central figure in the Rebel Alliance. As the stakes rise, alliances will be tested, betrayals will sting deeper, and sacrifices will shape the fate of the galaxy. The series continues to explore the political intrigue and high-stakes rebellion that lead directly into the events of “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,” in which a daring group of rebels steal the Death Star plans and ignite the spark of hope in the galaxy.
The upcoming season, which consists of 12 episodes, will be structured into four chapters, each spanning three episodes. The first chapter debuts on April 22, with new episodes rolling out weekly, exclusively on Disney+.

A Star-Studded Cast & Creative Team
Returning cast members include Diego Luna, Stellan Skarsgård, Genevieve O’Reilly, Denise Gough, Kyle Soller, Adria Arjona, Alan Tudyk, Faye Marsay, Varada Sethu, and Elizabeth Dulau. Notably, Star Wars veterans Ben Mendelsohn and Forest Whitaker will also reprise their roles.
The series is helmed by “Rogue One” co-writer Tony Gilroy, who serves as creator and executive producer alongside Kathleen Kennedy, Sanne Wohlenberg, Diego Luna, Luke Hull, and John Gilroy. Gilroy also wrote the first three episodes, with Beau Willimon, Dan Gilroy, and Tom Bissell handling the remainder of the season’s scripts. Directing duties are split between Ariel Kleiman (Episodes 1-6), Janus Metz (Episodes 7-9), and Alonso Ruizpalacios (Episodes 10-12), per the news release.
