*Mel B, the legendary Scary Spice, tied the knot with Rory McPhee on July 5, in a ceremony at St. Paul’s Cathedral, where Princess Diana wed Prince Charles in 1981.
“It’s a big deal because when you get married there, not many people are allowed to get married there. You have to be kind of special,” Mel B told PEOPLE Magazine. The couple, engaged since 2022 after three years of dating, celebrated with a reception at Shangri-La The Shard in London. Mel B’s three daughters from previous relationships served as bridesmaids, adding a heartfelt touch to the day.
“He said, ‘I love you, you’re my best friend and I want to spend the rest of my life with you,’ ” the singer recalled while discussing her engagement to the hairstylist on Celebrity Gogglebox in 2022. “There were rose petals everywhere, a log fire, a hotel — which was Cliveden. It was very romantic. I love flowers.”
While the wedding event drew a star-studded crowd, the absence of two Spice Girls—Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice) and Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice)—sparked a firestorm among fans. Only Emma Bunton (Baby Spice) attended, leaving fans venting online, The Blast reports. One wrote, “Congratulations to @OfficialMelB. Baby Spice was the only Spice Girl who could be bothered to show up for her fellow Spice [Girls.] Bollocks to the rest of them, I wish them both a life of health, wealth and happiness.”
Another fumed, “Emma looks gorgeous, but it is so disappointing she was the only one!” A third noted, “Victoria sending her parents to Mel B’s wedding is so f-cking funny.”

The reason behind Beckham and Halliwell’s absence is still unknown, leaving fans hoping for a Spice Girls reunion disappointed. Despite not attending, Beckham shared a virtual tribute on Instagram Stories, posting a black-and-white Spice Girls clip with the message, “Congratulations @officialmelb and @rorymcphee on your special day! I couldn’t be more excited for you both and wish you a lifetime of happiness. Kisses xx.”
She followed with a photo of herself and Mel B, adding, “Sending you love @officialmelb [red heart emoji]. @rorymcphee is a very lucky man!”
The snub has fueled fan frustration, with many questioning the band’s bond.
