*Snoop Dogg’s granddaughter Codi is already showing the family’s trademark strength and spirit. Born premature in February, the baby girl arrived six months into her mother’s pregnancy.
Codi’s mom, Cori Broadus, shared that despite the early birth, her daughter has been thriving. “She’s so resilient and strong,” Cori told Us Weekly in a new interview. “She just has so much character.”
Medical staff in the NICU have also been impressed by Codi’s progress. According to Cori, they often tell her, “‘Your baby got her mind. She’s smart. She’s alert. She knows what’s going on. She can hear. She can see.'” Cori described her baby girl as “just a sweet little firecracker.”

The early days in the hospital were an emotionally charged experience for the new mother. “The NICU is a different type of experience,” Cori said. “It’s not an easy place to be, but the support is amazing.”
Cori, who previously suffered a stroke at age 24, called Codi her “surprise miracle baby.” Reflecting on her journey, she shared, “Doctors told me I could never have a baby. Yet she’s here. She’s so beautiful, and I just love her.”
The 26-year-old, who shares Codi with fiancé Wayne Deuce, acknowledged that the journey hasn’t been without its emotional highs and lows, but Cori remains grounded by her family’s love.
“Everybody’s plan looks a little different. Our journey home just looks a little different than the next baby and so forth,” she said.
