*Sirius XM Radio is facing a proposed $28 million class action settlement over allegations that it made unauthorized marketing calls to consumers on do-not-call lists.
NBC reports that the lawsuit, filed on November 22, 2022, in Illinois, claims the company contacted individuals on both the National Do Not Call Registry and its own internal list. Sirius XM denies any wrongdoing.
A final hearing for court approval is scheduled for May 11, 2026. Consumers may be eligible if they received more than one solicitation call within a 12-month period between April 27, 2019, and October 31, 2025, after registering their numbers on a do-not-call list. Generally, self-paying Sirius XM subscribers at the time of the calls are excluded. Calls to landline, wireless, and mobile phones may all qualify.

Payments will come from the $28 million fund after legal fees, court costs, and service awards are deducted. The amount each claimant receives depends on the number of valid claims submitted.
Claims can be filed online or by mail. Some individuals may have received a notice with a claim ID, but this is not required to participate. Payments can be distributed via prepaid Mastercard, PayPal, Venmo, direct deposit, or Zelle. The deadline to submit claims is March 21, 2026.
Eligible consumers are encouraged to check the National Do Not Call Registry and Sirius XM’s internal do-not-call policy to confirm eligibility.
