*Rick Ross is addressing a viral photo that showed him traveling through a commercial airport instead of flying private. The image spread quickly online and triggered widespread discussion about the rapper’s travel style.
The photo showed Ross sitting inside an airport terminal, and social media users pointed out that no private jet or hangar appeared in the image. Ross responded on Instagram Story and explained that his jet is currently undergoing upgrades.
“For the ones who wanna know where my jet at, I obviously didn’t get the memo,” Ross said. “It’s being updated with Starlink. You know what Starlink is? Yeah, that’s the half-a-million-dollar Wi-Fi.”
He said the upgrade includes Starlink internet service and noted that the situation led him to fly commercial instead. “I chose to fly commercial to Colombia to go party with Trick Daddy,” he said

Media personalities also reacted to the viral moment on air. Ebro Darden and Peter Rosenberg discussed the photo and joked about the contrast between Ross’s “Biggest Boss” persona.
The viral moment comes as Ross continues his music rollout. He recently announced a new album titled “Set in Stone,” set for release on July 17 through Gamma. The project marks his first album in five years.
Ross is also currently touring on his “Port of Miami 20th Anniversary Black-Tie Experience Orchestra Tour.” The North American run continues with a stop in Atlanta on June 12.
