*Apple TV is giving audiences their first real look at one of its most anticipated upcoming releases. The trailer for “Outcome,” a dark comedy featuring an all-star ensemble cast, has arrived with Hollywood icon Keanu Reeves front and center as a Hollywood heavyweight whose carefully constructed public image is suddenly under threat.
Reeves plays Reef Hawk, a celebrated film star who finds himself the target of an extortion scheme involving a mysterious video with the power to derail his career. Desperate to uncover the identity of his blackmailer, Reef sets out on a journey through his past, reaching out to anyone he may have wronged along the way. By his side are his closest companions Kyle and Xander, played by Cameron Diaz and Matt Bomer respectively, as well as crisis lawyer Ira, brought to life by director Jonah Hill himself.
The cast also includes Susan Lucci, Laverne Cox, David Spade, Martin Scorsese, Atsuko Okatsuka, Roy Wood Jr., Welker White, and Ivy Wolk all appear in supporting roles, adding further intrigue to Reef’s chaotic but revealing trip down memory lane.
Hill co-wrote the screenplay with Ezra Woods and produces alongside Matt Dines and Alison Goodwin, with Adam Merims serving as executive producer. “Outcome” represents Hill’s third turn behind the camera, following his 2018 debut “Mid90s” and the 2022 documentary “Stutz.”

Speaking at Apple TV’s press day last month, Hill offered insight into the deeper themes at the heart of the story. “It’s a metaphor for what we all go through living on social media,” he said, per THR. “Social media has made us obsessed what people we don’t know think of us, instead of caring about what the people who know us best think of us.”
