*Fathom Entertainment, in partnership with Simeon Faith, the Nick Mirkopoulos Cinematic Fund, and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, has released the teaser trailer for “Moses the Black,” a highly anticipated crime drama hitting theaters nationwide on January 30, 2026. The film is a collaboration between Simeon Entertainment, G-Unit Film and Television, Taylor Gang Films, and BrooklynWorks Films.
Inspired by the life of the fourth-century saint of the same name, “Moses the Black” follows Chicago gangster Malik on a journey of reckoning, per the news release. Omar Epps stars as Malik, while Wiz Khalifa plays 2wo-3ree, the volatile leader of Malik’s young crew. Quavo portrays Straw, Malik’s rival gang leader, and Chukwudi Iwuji embodies St. Moses the Black. The film is directed by Yelena Popovic (“Man of God”). Watch the trailer above.

The movie blends suspense, moral courage, and modern relevance, supported by a hypnotic original soundtrack executive-produced by Wiz Khalifa featuring Quavo. Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson described the film as “about redemption and real change. It’s raw, it’s emotional, and it’s powerful. I can’t wait for audiences to see it.”

In addition to the leads, the film features Corey Hendrix, Cliff Chamberlain, Ahmad Ferguson, Sambou “Bubba” Camara, Kierra Bunch, Skilla Baby, and former WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder. Production is led by Alexandros Potter and Yelena Popovic, with executive producers including 50 Cent, Wiz Khalifa, Omar Epps, and the Nick Mirkopoulos Cinematic Fund.
Tickets for “Moses the Black” will be available beginning December 19 through Fathom Entertainment and participating theater box offices. The film promises a stark, soulful, and unflinching exploration of redemption, showing that even in the darkest moments, anyone can change and everyone deserves a second chance.
