Man Beaten and Stripped Naked After Racial Slurs at Bar
*A white man got the ish beat out of him, stripped naked, and robbed outside a Mississippi bar after repeatedly using the N-word toward Black employees and patrons. The incident occurred earlier this month (05-17-25), at the C.J. Lounge in Holly Springs, according to police.
Witnesses say the man entered the bar already aggressive and intoxicated. He began hurling racial slurs despite being asked to leave. What followed was a brutal beating captured on cellphone video, now circulating widely online.
Police Investigating Bar Attack as Possible Hate Crime
Holly Springs Police say the man, from Tippah County, was kicked, stomped, and beaten with poles and sticks. In the video, he’s seen naked while beer is poured on him. Officers are treating the case as a possible hate crime, though it remains unclear if charges will be filed against the man, his attackers, or both.
The man was hospitalized four days later on May 21, claiming a possible broken jaw, facial injuries, and intense pain. Police also confirmed that he was seen outside the bar throwing suspected gang signs and continuing to use the N-word.
Witnesses Say Man Ignored Warnings to Leave Peacefully
“The guy walked in, and he was very aggressive,” said Miles Stone, a witness. “They asked him to leave quietly.” Stone added that the man continued yelling slurs outside even as tensions escalated. “He was still saying, ‘F you N’s,’” Stone told FOX13.
According to police, the man’s actions—including throwing gang signs—contributed to the violent response. Officials are now reviewing surveillance and social media footage to identify everyone involved.
Club Had History of Violence Before Viral Attack
C.J. Lounge has become a police hotspot in just three months of operation. The Holly Springs Police Chief stated officers responded to about 30 calls at the bar, including fights, gun discoveries, and a prior shooting. After the attack, the club was shut down for operating without a beer or business license.
Local authorities are now pushing to declare the venue a public nuisance. “We’ve had too many calls. It’s become a danger zone,” said one city official. The bar’s owner has not responded to requests for comment.

Online Debate Rages Over “Victim” Label and Hate Crime Angle
Reactions online are mixed. While some see the white man as the aggressor who provoked the violence, others are questioning why he is being labeled a victim. Posts on Reddit and X raised concerns about whether hate crime charges are appropriate in a situation where the instigator used racial slurs.
Critics also questioned law enforcement’s apparent sympathy for the man, calling it a double standard. “This isn’t just about a bar fight—it’s about who gets protected by the system,” one Reddit user posted.
Ongoing Investigation Targets Multiple Suspects
The Holly Springs Police Department has identified a person of interest and believes several people took part in the assault. Investigators are preparing search warrants to examine social media accounts tied to the incident.
Police urge anyone with information to come forward. As of now, no arrests have been made. The incident has ignited broader conversations about race, accountability, and public safety in Mississippi.
Witnesses React to Brutal Beating and Bar Chaos
Local witness Miles Stone offered a detailed account of the chaos that unfolded. He told FOX13, “The guy walked in, and he was very aggressive.” Stone said other patrons tried to remain calm, even asking the man to leave quietly.
But Stone confirmed that the situation escalated quickly. “When they were scuffling outside, he was still using the N-word: ‘F you N’s, F you N’s,’” Stone recalled. “I’m not standing for anything like that. However, we have to live with our choices, and he made the choice to go in there aggressively, and he has to live with the choice he’s made.”
Stone also pushed back against claims that C.J. Lounge is a dangerous location, despite the police record. “I don’t believe the club to be a problem spot,” he said. However, the Holly Springs Police Department strongly disagrees, noting their frequent responses to violent incidents at the venue.
