*Netflix is bringing back “Funny AF with Kevin Hart” for a second season, and the comedy competition will add a live voting twist when it returns in 2027, per Tudum.
The series will once again follow emerging stand-up comedians as they compete for a chance to break through in the industry. Season 2 will introduce live episodes with real-time voting, allowing Netflix members to help decide which comic advances toward the final prize.
Hart will return as mentor and executive producer. The comedian said the show gives rising comics access to the kind of opportunity he once chased himself.

“I’m beyond excited that Funny AF is coming back for Season 2,” Hart said. “This show is all about giving hungry, undiscovered comedians the kind of shot I was chasing when I started out — an uncensored stage, a real audience, and the chance to turn a dream into a career.”
The renewal follows the show’s first season, which crowned Ron Taylor as its inaugural winner. Season 1 introduced viewers to the pressures of stand-up through live performances, mentorship, and judging by Hart and other comedy figures.
“The response to Season 1 has been incredible, and I can’t wait to get back out there, discover more phenomenal talent, and keep raising the bar for stand-up comedy,” Hart said.
Season 2 will bring in a new group of comedians from across the country. Contestants will face a series of performance challenges as they try to prove they can connect with audiences and handle the pressure that comes with the stage.
The format will again pair Hart with fellow comedy veterans, who will help evaluate performances and decide which comics continue in the competition.
Netflix has not announced an exact premiere date, but the new season will arrive in 2027.
