*Drake shared a video on his Instagram story revealing significant flooding in his 50,000 square foot Toronto mansion, known as The Embassy.
The short video shows dirty, yellowish water flowing through the home. “This better be Espresso Martini,” text on the screen said.
USA Today reports that parts of Toronto received over four inches of rain Tuesday, causing flash flooding. By Wednesday, around 3,200 Toronto Hydro customers remained without power. The flooding also led to road closures.
In a press release, the city told residents to call 311 to report basement flooding.
“Be mindful of your health and safety when cleaning a flooded basement. Do not stand in flood water — call a professional for assistance,” the city of Toronto said.

The city said the impact of the flooding “won’t be known until the water recedes in the coming days.”
In 2020, Drake told Architectural Digest that his home was built to stand the test of time, lasting well beyond his lifetime.
“Because I was building it in my hometown, I wanted the structure to stand firm for 100 years,” Drake told the magazine. “I wanted it to have a monumental scale and feel. It will be one of the things I leave behind, so it had to be timeless and strong.”
Meanwhile, some people jokingly linked the flooding at Drake’s home to his recent rap beef with Kendrick Lamar, with one X/Twitter user writing, “Kendrick Lamar not recycling so global warming floods Drake’s mansion,” adding, “He might really be the GOAT.”
Another person added, “After Kendrick Lamar hitting Drake left right and center in his diss songs such as “Not Like Us”, floods have hit Drake’s home too.”
A third X user wrote, “After being destroyed by Kendrick Lamar, God decided to also flood Drake’s house with shitty piss water.”
