BET announced that Palmer has joined its Board of Advisors, a newly established group created to help guide the network’s future direction. BET President Louis Carr formed the board earlier this month, bringing together entertainment figures, executives and business leaders to advise the company as it continues to expand its influence across media and culture.
Palmer’s appointment marks a return to a network that played an early role in her career. She previously hosted “Just Keke,” becoming one of the youngest personalities to lead her own talk show on BET.
“Keke Palmer represents the future of entertainment,” Carr said, per the news release. “She understands audiences, embraces innovation, and has consistently used her platform to open doors for others. Her insight, creativity, and entrepreneurial mindset will be invaluable as we continue positioning BET for the next generation.”

Over a career spanning more than two decades, Palmer has established herself as an actor, host, producer and entrepreneur. Her accomplishments include becoming the first Black actress to portray Cinderella on Broadway, while earning both Emmy and NAACP Image Award recognition.
Music has also remained a significant part of Palmer’s career. From her early single “Bottoms Up” and co-writing the “True Jackson, V.P.” theme song to releasing the “Virgo Tendencies” EPs through her Big Bosses record label, Palmer has continued to expand her creative portfolio. In 2025, she released the album “JustKeke.”
Outside entertainment, Palmer has launched several business ventures, including the digital platform KeyTV. She also introduced Practice by Palmer in 2026, a wellness platform centered on movement, mindfulness and self-discovery.
Palmer now joins a Board of Advisors that includes BET founder Bob Johnson, Queen Latifah, LL COOL J, NFL executive Troy Vincent, Lazard President Raymond J. McGuire and Paramount Chair George Cheeks.
According to BET, the board will serve as both a strategic and cultural advisory group, offering guidance as the network continues to champion stories and voices shaping culture.
