*Sony has moved up the release for Keke Palmer and SZA’s comedy “One of Them Days” to the four-day MLK weekend, starting January 17, 2025.
The new date capitalizes on the fact that most colleges will be on break that Monday and fills a gap in the holiday season with no competing comedies.
As we reported earlier, the R-rated buddy comedy marks SZA’s movie debut, and centers on two best friends and roommates in Los Angeles who must come up with rent money after one of their boyfriends takes their cash. “When they discover Alyssa’s boyfriend has blown their rent money, the duo finds themselves going to extremes in a comical race against the clock to avoid eviction and keep their friendship intact,” the synopsis states, per PEOPLE.
Palmer and her mother executive produced the movie with Issa Rae serving as producer of the Lawrence Lamont-directed film. The feature co-stars Maude Apatow, Lil Rel Howery, Janelle James, and Katt Williams. Watch the trailer above.
