*Remember August 2024? The air was thick, the planet was overheating, and somehow, a trans woman sitting in a grocery store parking lot taught the entire internet how to behave.
“Very demure. Very mindful.”
Jools Lebron (@joolieannie) said it once, and the world lost its collective mind. Celebrities parroted it. Brands begged for it. NASA tweeted it. The White House—yes, the White House—got in on the joke. For one glorious month, a Puerto Rican trans woman from Chicago who worked as a cashier at Mariano’s became the unwitting etiquette coach to 2 million people.
And then the wheels came off.
@cbcnews TikTok creator Jools Lebron went viral with her videos on being “very demure, very mindful.” But she didn’t trademark the term, and according to court documents, a Washington resident has filed a trademark application for legal rights over the phrase. The Fairy Tale (Briefly)
Before the viral vortex, Jools was just a girl with a Bratz doll collection and a dream. Born May 14, 1993, she had been posting consistently since 2013—makeup tutorials, GRWM videos, and her beloved American Girl dolls—all while working a register. She came out as trans, crediting influencers like Nikita Dragun and Gigi Gorgeous for paving the way.
Then came the car video. The one where she explained how she does her makeup, lays her wig, and shows up for her retail job in a way that is, well, you know the rest.
Overnight, her life changed. Brand offers went from $45,000 to $85,000 per sponsored video—travel and expenses covered. She got flown across the country to host events. The money funded the rest of her gender-affirming transition, something she celebrated as life-changing for herself and her family.
It was, for a minute, the perfect viral success story.

The Crash
But fairy tales don’t have trademark vultures.
Within weeks of her explosion, opportunists filed USPTO applications for “Very Demure.. Very Mindful..” and “Very Demure Very Cutesy”—before Jools could. She posted a now-deleted, tearful TikTok admitting she “dropped the ball” and worried someone else would profit off her own words. The internet rallied. She hired lawyers. By August 29, 2024, she had filed her own applications under her legal name, Julian Rosa. The immediate threat was “handled,” but the stress had already done damage.
Then came the rest of it.
In March 2026, Jools posted raw, unpolished TikToks that broke the internet’s heart all over again. “Going viral ruined my life,” she admitted. She showed a cluttered apartment—”a streaming studio where dreams die”—and described falling into cycles of partying, burnout, and substance abuse. The same money that paid for her transition also paid for a very dark period.
“It just led me to fall down a slope of insobriety that ruined my life,” she said.

Where She Is Now (April 2026)
Today, Jools is on a sobriety journey. Her content has shifted from viral hooks to real-life rebuilding—cleaning her apartment, talking openly about mental health, and planning a return to long-form content. She still posts glamorous looks, but the tone is different. Grounded. Honest. Human.
On Friday, April 17, 2026, she sits down for an exclusive interview on the Tamron Hall Show to discuss “the other side of fame”—the money, the perks, how quickly they faded, and the substance issues that followed.
Jools Lebron’s story is the classic double-edged sword: viral fame gave her visibility as a trans woman of color and the financial freedom to complete her transition. Then it tried to eat her alive.
Very demure? No. Very real? Absolutely.
