
*Breakfast is about to get a serious upgrade. Jimmy Dean has introduced Premium Hot Bacon, a new addition to its lineup that delivers “crispy, savory pork flavor” with “a bold, spicy kick in every slice.”
The brand took the same heat-forward thinking behind Jimmy Dean Hot Sausage and applied it to bacon, delivering a pre-sliced, ready-to-cook option with a spicy twist on a breakfast staple.
Packaged in a 12-ounce format, the new bacon is gluten-free, USDA inspected, and built around Jimmy Dean’s signature hot spice blend. Each slice can be cooked in a skillet over low heat, oven-bake at 400°F, or microwave on HIGH, and the package can be kept frozen until it’s time to use it.

Versatility is a big part of the pitch. Jimmy Dean positions the new bacon as a fit for far more than a traditional breakfast plate. Layer it into sandwiches, burritos, or wraps, crumble it over pizza, fold it into casseroles, or use it to add heat to a burger. The spice level is consistent enough to punch through other flavors without getting lost.
The rollout is already underway at select retailers nationwide. Early sightings have placed it at Hy-Vee locations, priced at just over $6 per package, All Recipes reports. Additional grocery chains are expected to pick it up shortly.
Jimmy Dean recently introduced another new product: Turkey Sausage. Built on the same signature seasoning blend as the brand’s classic pork sausage, the turkey version is marketed as a leaner protein that does not sacrifice flavor. Like the hot bacon, it is gluten-free and designed to work across a range of meals beyond breakfast — from appetizers and wraps to burgers and mac and cheese.
Between the fiery new bacon and the reimagined turkey sausage, Jimmy Dean is clearly pushing its product range in a fresh direction heading into the second half of the year.
