Season 2 has followed Toni, Towanda, Trina, Tamar, and Ms. Evelyn as they try to rebuild closeness after tragedy, only to confront new challenges at every turn. Towanda’s wedding has been a consistent bright spot, though the path toward the celebration has been layered with medical scares and deep family conflicts. Still, the finale underscores the sisters’ determination to show up for one another, even when internal fractures threaten to overshadow their progress.
When we spoke to Trina earlier in the season, she reflected on watching her sister prepare for this milestone. “I was glad that I wasn’t having another wedding because I’ve done it three times and I’m done,” she joked. She added, “But it’s great to see my sister happy and in a relationship with her forever person. I think everyone should experience that. She is literally glowing. I don’t know where her forehead stops and the rest of her head continues because all of it glows all over the place.”

Trina also acknowledged that the family’s joyous moments remain intertwined with the grief of losing their sister Traci in 2022. “I’ll say it’s still challenging, especially for me. I was there when she took her last breath, and seeing that was just heavy for me,” she shared.
Her memories of Traci stay close, both emotionally and symbolically: “We miss a lot of the Traci-isms. She’s definitely missed. Her energy is definitely missed, but she already told us she wanted us to go on. She already told us, I’m still with you wherever I go. And you see little glimpses of her, no matter what we do.”
For Trina, those reminders are woven into everyday life. “Traci is always with me because Traci loved hummingbirds. So all the sisters have a hummingbird necklace, and we have a bit of her ash in each of our necklaces. So she comes with us everywhere we go,” she said.
As the season closes, the finale captures exactly that blend of celebration, memory, and resilience that continues to define the Braxton family’s journey.
