*A tragic incident in Minden, Louisiana, has shocked the community after former mayor Joe Cornelius Sr., 82, and his daughter, Keisha Miles, 31, were found dead in his home on September 1. Keisha’s 11-year-old son reportedly confessed to the killings and was arrested on September 2.
Her 17-year-old son, Uriah Miles, recently revealed videos from 2021, found in her iCloud, where she confronted her father about alleged sexual abuse, to which he made admissions, People reports. “When you do things for me, you expect something in return. Like when you got the furniture, like when you got that car for me, you always wanted something in return and what you wanted was something sexual … right?” Keisha says in one video seen by the outlet, per TooFab.
Cornelius apparently doesn’t know he is being filmed, and responds, “Whatever it is, you mostly enjoyed it.”
“No, I never did Joe, because I felt like I had to in order to survive,” Keisha says. “Everytime I did something with you, a little portion of me died,” she adds, per Shreveport ABC affiliate KTBS.

“And everyday I try my best just to be a normal daughter, and expecting a normal father and love in return,” she continues.
According to People, Keisha goes into detail about the sexual abuse but Cornelius pushes back, saying “I ain’t never said nothing like that” and “You said you didn’t tell nobody about this, but you have.”
She reportedly replies to that comment, “You told me … you say … they will never believe you.”
“And nobody will,” Cornelius responds.
We reported earlier via CNN that Cornelius was a former longtime Minden city councilman and former interim mayor of Minden, the current mayor said.
“Joe Cornelius’ years of service to Minden were marked by his commitment and dedication to the betterment of our community,” Mayor Nick Cox said in a release posted to Facebook. “On a personal note, I am grateful for his friendship and the many ways he supported me and others in our city.”
After confessing to the fatal shooting of Keisha and the ex-mayor, her minor son was charged with two counts of first-degree murder and is being held on a $500,000 bond. It is unclear if the child will be tried as an adult.
