Diddy’s Defense Pushes Back on Abuse Claims in Court
Today (06-11-25), defense attorney Teny Geragos continued her cross-examination of “Jane,” Diddy’s ex-girlfriend, in the music mogul’s high-profile criminal conspiracy case. The defense focused heavily on so-called “freak offs,” aiming to cast the drug-fueled encounters as consensual rather than abusive.
Jane admitted under questioning that she sometimes initiated these encounters. The defense presented photos of a hotel room decorated with balloons and rose petals, claiming Jane prepared it. When asked about organizing a “hotel night” with two men, Jane said, “Yes, that was my suggestion.”
Text Messages Reveal Mixed Emotions in the Relationship
In court, Diddy’s team shared texts where Jane expressed excitement after a sexual night involving Diddy and a sex worker named Paul. “I’m having so much fun,” she wrote, adding that she would always “make sure you are taken care of.”
Jane also sent affectionate messages, calling Diddy a “blessing” and saying, “You’re the reason for my child’s joy… I love you baby.” These messages appeared to show deep emotional ties between them, complicating the prosecution’s portrayal of Diddy as purely coercive, NBC News is reporting.
Jane Breaks Down Reflecting on Love, Control, and Regret
Despite the defense’s focus on consent, Jane became emotional while testifying. She described moments of feeling powerless, even as she planned or enjoyed certain encounters. “I resent him for how much I loved him and couldn’t say no to him,” she told the court.
She described a “sobriety party” in October 2023 where she had sex with three men, reportedly at Diddy’s suggestion. The party, meant to be drug-free, still lasted 12 to 18 hours. Jane testified she had urged Diddy to try healthy habits for 30 days leading up to it.
Juror Controversy Adds Tension to the Trial
The courtroom was stirred again when prosecutors pushed to remove Juror #6, a reported Black juror, citing a “lack of candor.” Prosecutor Maurene Comey told the judge, “It appeared to be a lack of candor with the court that raises serious issues with us.”
Diddy’s legal team opposed the motion, calling it unclear and raising concerns about potential bias. The court has not yet ruled on the request. The move added another layer of complexity to an already explosive trial.

Diddy Appears Calm as Testimony Continues
Before proceedings began, Diddy stood up in court, wearing a light orange sweater and khaki pants. He appeared to mouth words to someone in the gallery. Observers noted his calm demeanor despite the intense testimony unfolding around him.
The courtroom has remained packed, and Diddy’s behavior continues to draw as much attention as the witnesses. With more cross-examination expected, the rapper’s future remains uncertain as both sides build their case.
What to Expect as the Trial Moves Forward
Jane is expected to return to the stand tomorrow for a sixth day of cross-examination. Prosecutors will likely respond to the defense’s claims of consent with further evidence of coercion and control.
Public interest in the case remains high, with many watching for how the court handles issues of power, consent, and celebrity influence. As each day unfolds, the trial grows more complex and emotionally charged.
