*The Department of Homeland Security responded to Cardi B’s inflammatory comments about ICE agents by bringing up her controversial history as an exotic dancer. The exchange came after the rapper made headlines for urging fans at her concert to physically confront immigration officers.
Cardi B kicked off her “Little Miss Drama Tour” in Palm Desert, California on Wednesday night, where she addressed the crowd at her show with a fiery warning. “If ICE come in here, we’re gonna jump they asses… I got some bear mace in the back. They ain’t taking my fans, b*tch!” she told the audience.
“If ICE come in here we’re gonna jump they a**es.”

The DHS clapped back on social media, stating, “As long she doesn’t drug and rob our agents, we’ll consider that an improvement over her past behavior.” The remark was a direct reference to a 2019 controversy involving a resurfaced Instagram Live clip in which Cardi admitted to luring men to hotel rooms, drugging them, and stealing from them during her time as a stripper..
At the time the old video recirculated, Cardi faced widespread backlash on social media. She ultimately issued an apology on X, acknowledging her past while explaining the circumstances that led to those decisions. “Whether or not they were poor choices at the time, I did what I had to do to survive,” she wrote. “I never claimed to be perfect or come from a perfect world.”
She also noted that she never incorporated those experiences into her music, and emphasized that “I made the choices that I did at the time because I had very limited options,” adding that the men involved were “conscious, willing and aware.”
