*Dawn Staley believes Olivia Miles is doing more than building a Rookie of the Year case. She thinks the Minnesota Lynx guard is already worthy of becoming the face of the WNBA.
Staley floated the idea after Miles helped Minnesota defeat the Indiana Fever 108-100. The rookie scored 28 points on 11-of-14 shooting as the Lynx pushed their winning streak to 10 games, The Mirror reports.
“@oliviamiles06 got me in my house cursing on a Sunday. Lord have mercy! @WNBA. I saw a logo change in this app… use it!” Staley wrote on X.
The South Carolina coach followed that post with an edited version of the league logo featuring Miles’ silhouette. “Here it is!! GEEZ US!!” Staley added.

The endorsement came during a record-setting opening season for Miles. The No. 2 overall draft pick recently became the quickest player in WNBA history to total 500 points and 150 assists, reaching the milestone in 26 games.
Her production has placed her among the league’s top first-year players. Miles is averaging 18.7 points, 5.7 assists, 4.8 rebounds, 1.4 steals and 0.8 blocks per game. She has also helped Minnesota rise to the top of the WNBA standings while earning a starting spot in the All-Star Game.
Her history-making run began earlier in July when she dropped a franchise rookie-record 33 points against Phoenix, becoming the fastest WNBA player to reach 400 points, 100 rebounds, and 100 assists, according to The Mirror.
Miles received her third technical foul of the season during the Indiana game after protesting a no-call on a play involving Kelsey Mitchell. The violation carried a $500 fine.
