*The auction of Dame Dash’s film production company concluded with a surprisingly low result, drawing commentary from both 50 Cent and those directly involved in Dash’s legal disputes.
As Complex reports, the sale took place on December 30 and reportedly ended at $100.50, a figure far below expectations for the Roc-A-Fella co-founder’s film catalog. According to the New York Post, the auction was intended to help reduce approximately $1 million Dash owes following defamation lawsuit judgments. Despite hopes that the company could fetch a far higher amount, only one bidder participated. That person was Mike Muntaser of Muddy Water Motion Pictures, who is also a creditor that Dash owes nearly $973,000.
50 Cent reacted publicly after learning of the sale, posting on Instagram: “Damn $1 dollar ?He popped, ?.” He added, “They took his whole shit! when I first got on he said a mill was nothing.”

Muntaser did not hide his feelings about the purchase, describing it as a pointed move against Dash. “I think he’s a fool, man,” he told the publication, noting the buy was a “jab.” He criticized Dash’s handling of disputes, saying, “He’s just a problem,” and adding, “He has an ego. I think he’s just bitter [coming] from where he was to where he is and he just blames everybody else and doesn’t look at himself in the mirror.”
The assets sold included rights to films such as “Honor Up,” “Too Honorable,” “Welcome to Blakroc,” and “We Went To China: Our Search For Like Minded Individuals.”
Reflecting on Dash’s career arc, Muntaser said, “Why are your peers doing good, [being] constructive and you’re just playing games with others? May God guide him.”
