*Dame Dash is preparing to launch a sweeping legal battle against a group of former collaborators and adversaries, threatening to file a $100 million civil RICO lawsuit.
According to filings in the Southern District of New York, Dash sent a notice on September 17, accusing several parties of conspiring against him in disputes spanning film projects, legal representation, and business ventures, Complex reports.
The letter names filmmaker Josh Webber, producer Tony White, actress Claudia Jordan, and attorney Christopher Brown among those targeted. Dash claims the group engaged in “fraud, perjury, theft of intellectual property, defamation, tortious interference, harassment, and financial manipulation,” leaving him with damages he values at more than $100 million.
At the center of the dispute is the film originally titled “The List,” later released as “Dear Frank.” Dash alleges he created, financed, and directed the project, only to be excluded from credits and compensation while others misappropriated his work. He further accuses Brown of orchestrating “fraudulent litigation” through multiple lawsuits that drained his resources and pushed him into bankruptcy.
The notice also extends to business conflicts outside of film. Dash asserts that in a cannabis venture with Larry Smith, he was cut out of profits from a strain he developed with Cam’ron, called “Pink Mink.”
He is demanding public retractions, financial accountings, an end to defamatory conduct, and $100 million in damages, warning that failure to comply within 14 days will result in a federal RICO lawsuit.
If carried out, the lawsuit would escalate his long-standing feud with Webber and others into one of the most high-profile counters of his career.
