*Christmas is coming early this year, and Netflix is rolling out the festive cheer with its latest holiday rom-com, “Meet Me Next Christmas.” This film promises to sprinkle a little joy into the season by featuring the talented Christina Milian as the executive producer and lead star.
Known for her performances in “Falling Inn Love” and “Resort to Love,” Milian is ready to share a heartfelt story that will resonate with viewers this fall.
Meet Me Next Christmas centers around the ambitious Layla (Milian), who is on a mission to find her fairy-tale romance in the hustle and bustle of New York City. Her quest? To secure a coveted ticket to the sold-out Pentatonix Christmas Eve Concert.
At this magical show, she hopes to reconnect with her charming love interest, James (played by Kofi Siriboe). With the holiday spirit in the air, Layla believes that James may just be the only gift she desires under her tree, Tadum reports.
Milian describes Los Angeles-based Layla’s journey as “a treasure hunt for love.”

As she navigates through the vibrant streets of NYC, she is joined by an unexpected ally, professional concierge Teddy (Devale Ellis). Milian explains the film’s delightful unpredictability.
“There’s a sense of magic, love, and anticipation that’s happening through the whole movie,” she tells Tudum. “You just never know who they’re going to run into or what’s going to happen next.”
The film’s heart shines brightly through its characters. Layla’s determination and ambition drive her, with Milian noting, “She’s a girl that knows what she wants… when she knows she wants something, she goes for it.”
Meanwhile, Teddy, depicted as the epitome of kindness and selflessness, becomes Layla’s greatest supporter. Ellis explains, “He’s willing to do anything for Layla because he takes his job seriously. And he’s the best cook.”
Directed by Rusty Cundieff, with a screenplay written by Molly Haldeman and Camilla Rubis, Meet Me Next Christmas is brimming with the spirit of the season.

The film features special appearances from the renowned a cappella group Pentatonix, ensuring that their holiday music fills the air with joy and rhythm. Ellis eagerly anticipates audiences experiencing Pentatonix’s contribution.
“There’s great music. When you listen to what the Pentatonix brings to this film, you’ll have no choice but to dance and sing,” he says. “It feels good to be a part of something so huge — working with Christina and the Pentatonix has been great.”
Milian echoes this sentiment, passionately sharing how their inclusion enhances the movie, from vibrant performances to joyous undertones in every scene.
“They’re so talented. I love what they infuse in the movie. Even in scenes where they’re just talking, they’re singing,” she teases. “Everybody loves to hear them for real during Christmastime. Making a whole movie built around their amazing talent and putting love and Christmas all around it is a great cherry on top.”
The star-studded cast also boasts names like Tymika Tafari as Roxy, Nikki Duval as Becca, and Kalen Allen as Jordy, among others. Meet Me Next Christmas is set to stream on Netflix on November 6, and promises to be a delightful addition to your holiday viewing list. This film combines romance, a search for love, and the joy of Christmas – all set against the enchanting backdrop of New York City.
