*If you’re one of those people who will spend your last dollar trying to purchase luxury label/designer items – because you told yourself logos made those items better – you probably spent all last week trying to kick your own arse! It turns out some of these companies that claim their products are made in Italy by Italian designers have been lying.
All it took was a tariff, or threats of a tariff to get Chinese Tik Tokers to throw luxury designers under the bus without hesitation. If you believe the videos on TikTok – and I do – the items some of y’all have paid thousands of dollars for were manufactured in China for a fraction of the retail price. All the designer company has to do is put their logos on the items, then jack up the price 300 percent.
And because some of y’all won’t leave the house without looking like a walking billboard, we must – once again – face the fact that some Black people have handed over their potential wealth to those who couldn’t care less about their financial freedom.
Nothing has changed except the date on the calendar.
