*Reality television personality Brittany “Brit” Eady is entering the new year as a single woman following her separation from Mike Cunningham.
According to Reality Blurb, the former “Real Housewives of Atlanta” cast member shared the news on Instagram, posting a photo with Mike alongside her announcement. She wrote: “I’m posting this on the last day of 365 to remove this facade of faking like this marriage is going to work. Everybody can’t come into the next chapter. I’m done hurting and I want to be happy in my next chapter. Cheers to 2026 of putting my happiness first ? ✌?.”
Brit addressed circulating speculation about her husband, stating: “And for the record as much as I can’t stand him, we are not going to create a false narrative that I’m walking away because of any fake made up rumors.” She elaborated on what prompted the split after five years of marriage.
The 37-year-old insurance agent identified disrespect as her primary trigger, writing: “It took me a while, but I finally realized what triggers my toxicity… it’s disrespect. I can be chill, fun, easy to get along with … I can vibe with anybody. But the second I feel disrespected, everything in me shifts. My peace goes out the window, my patience disappears, and that soft version of me turns sharp real quick.”

She continued: “When I snap, it’s never random, it’s a reaction. What you put in is what you get out of me.” Brit emphasized her personal growth journey, stating she’s learning not to let people pull her out of character and that protecting peace matters more than proving a point. She concluded: “& ima come out of every storm like it was never raining.”
The announcement arrives a month after Brit filed a lawsuit against Bravo and production company Truly Original LLC, alleging defamation, sexual harassment, and hostile work environment creation.
